Ruben and Mia both were both so fortunate to be allowed to play the famous Willis Organ of 1887 at Truro which is widely regarded as one of the finest instruments in the country. It was wild to hear Mary Had a Little Lamb being played on these outrageously huge pipes!
We experienced a Victorian 19th century courtroom dramatization of real events.
In 1844 on the wind swept slopes of Rough Tor, Bodmin Moor, the body of a local girl was found. Charlotte Dymond's murder has intrigued people ever since. Matthew Weeks was accused of her murder. Was he guilty or innocent of this heinous crime? The courtroom drama was played out and we were the jurors!
We shared an evening of fun at The Friends of The Cathedral event. We had a great time biding on items in the auction and racing to craft a new species of plant. It was a first for us to see Priests and Canons rocking out!
The kids spent the morning at St.Day school talking about Canada and sharing their experience of traveling. Mia was especially brave and sang the First Nations Welcome song that was to her the Klahoose Band on Cortes.
